Fairhaven, MA

Massachusetts – it’s time to work together.

My name is Morgan Dawicki and today I am proud to announce that I am running as an Independent candidate for the United States Senate.

I stand here today not as a career politician, not as a partisan, but as a citizen—deeply grateful for where I come from, and profoundly committed to where we, together, can go.

Fairhaven is my home. It’s where the first U.S. naval battle was fought. It’s where my family taught me that service to others is sacred. It’s where I learned work ethic and the value of a good education. And it’s where I learned that the values of responsibility, honesty, and hard work were essential components of our American way of life.

Today I stand before you humbly with a proposition – to work towards a New Washington rooted in independent thinking and promotion of our common humanity.

We live in a state where 65% of voters are registered as Independents. That tells me something powerful: that the people of Massachusetts are not waiting for the next Democrat or the next Republican.

They’re waiting for someone who remembers that democracy belongs to We the People.

They’re waiting for a leader who believes that people come before party loyalty.

They’re waiting for someone who will fight to lift up the working class who make this country great.

That is why I am running as an Independent and urge others across the nation to do so. Be bold. Be courageous. And fight for an America that works together.

My opponent has served in elected office for nearly 50 years. And while I respect his tenure, I believe this nation needs new leadership. It is time for my generation to step up.

I have been asked why I’m running for the U.S. Senate at just 29 years old. My answer is simple: this moment in American history demands a revolutionary attitude.

America was founded by young visionaries: in 1776, the average age of the signers of the Declaration of Independence was 44, with many in their 20s and 30s – like Thomas Jefferson at 33 and Alexander Hamilton at 21. I am running because my generation has been handed a broken political system. We are inheriting debt, climate chaos, and political gridlock. I’m not waiting my turn, I’m stepping up to lead. It’s time to right the ship with new leaders who have the courage to buck the establishment.

Let me speak plainly: my generation has been let down. We were told to wait our turn, to defer to those in power, and to sit quietly while politics has become more performative than principled. We have been ignored.

Now in front of us lies a mountainous pile of debt – for which every dollar added is a dollar of stolen opportunity from mine and future generations.

But no longer. It is imperative that We the People find our voice — and use it to restore a government worthy of the people it claims to represent.

We need to break the chains of two party politics. And we need to do it together—not left or right, but forward as one.

This grassroots campaign is not about me. It’s about all of us:

  • The single parent working two jobs and still showing up for their child’s school concert.
  • The veteran who served with honor and now wonders if the country remembers what that means.
  • The commercial fisherman struggling to keep up with a changing ocean and new government regulations.
  • The small business owner who plays by the rules and keeps getting pushed to the margins by excessive costs.
  • The student who wants a future built on hope and opportunity.
  • And the young adult who can’t afford a home or health insurance but who is in eager pursuit of the American dream.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt said in his inauguration speech:

“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.”

That is my commitment to you, and it must be our commitment to each other.

If you believe we need a restoration of basic civics… If you believe we need to defend the Constitution… If you believe that faith, family, and freedom still matter… If you believe that Congress needs more Independent Thinkers who will have the courage to stand by their beliefs and not fall in line with their party…

Then I ask you, lets create a movement for a New Washington.

This is a moment for renewal. An upgrade for democracy.

Let history say of us that when others backed down, we stepped up boldly and courageously. Let history say we did not sell out the Constitution to advance special interests. We shall not quit on character. We shall not sell our souls at the expense of others.

America’s best days are ahead. This is the greatest country on Earth and I know that because the people who live here are the people I love dearly.

Thank you for your support, and may God bless the people of Massachusetts and the United States of America.
